SKATE SCHOOL @THE HIVE

We’re stoked to announce that Skater HQ will be joining us this term to deliver 'Skate School' sessions to Hive children. Whoop!  This is the same trusted provider that runs Friday Sport sessions during school hours.

  • Sessions will run 4-5pm on Thursdays Weeks 2-9 this term and are open to kids in Years 2-6 only, whilst we gauge numbers
  • There is no charge for the sessions
  • There are 30 places - we will keep records to ensure a fair allocation of spaces each week
  • Only children whose parents have completed the online waiver form will be permitted to participate
  • Completion of the waiver form gives permission for all 8 weeks of activity, but does not guarantee a spot every week

Skater HQ provide wheels and safety equipment (mandatory) for all children. Children are also permitted to bring their own to be stored in the designated areas (at own risk) and not used until the session starts at 4pm. If your board/scooter is precious - leave it at home and use the ones from Skater HQ!

Please read and complete all sections of the waiver form carefully - it’ll take 2 minutes.

If you are giving permission for more than one child, remember to enter details for all of them!

You can find the form here:  Skate School Consent Form

* * ONLY CHILDREN WITH COMPLETED WAIVERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE * *

The New Childcare Package

From 2nd July 2018, the child care fee assistance your family receives from the government will change. This relates to both pre-school and school age children.
------
This change will not happen automatically, and there are certain things you need to do in order to transition to the new Child Care Package.

Responsibility for this rests with each individual family.

The government is writing to all families currently receiving Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate with instructions on how to complete their online assessment through myGov
This must be completed before 2nd July.  More details about the package and instructions on how to transition can be found here.
-----
Please be aware that these changes have originated with the government, not with us.

We cannot complete the transition process for you - it is the responsibility of each family to read the required information and complete the transition process themselves.
