The Hive runs as a Not for Profit, and fees are kept as low as possible, whilst ensuring appropriate and substantial funding. There are no part-session or hourly rates available.
The fee varies, depending on when during the year you enrol.
Term 1 or 2 – $100 per family
Term 3 – $50
Term 4 - $100, and covers T4 plus following year
The membership fee is applicable whether the child will be using permanent, casual or holiday program bookings. The Hive cannot be used until this payment has been made and the enrolment has been approved by the centre.
Permanent: Fee applies whether present or absent.
Casual: Fee waived for absence, as long as you notify us of cancellation!
Holiday Program costs $80 base rate, plus additional costs according to planned activities/locations for the day.
Early Bird bookings pay the price listed on the calendar. After the cut-off date, every day costs an extra $10.
At the time of booking, cost shows as $0. The correct cost is allocated to your bookings the following working day.
CCS applies to the total fee, in the same way as during term-time.
You can only book into Holiday Program if you already have an approved Hive enrolment and no outstanding debt.

Non-notification penalty
If children are not attending a booked afternoon session, you must notify The Hive. Failure to do this means we treat your child as 'missing' and results in a non-notification penalty fee of $15 on your account.
Notifying school does not constitute notification to The Hive. To notify us please cancel casual sessions or mark permanent sessions as 'away' via the portal; email us at bookings@thehivebondi.com.au or call us on 0450 896 686. You must notify us before 3pm on the day.
Late collection penalty
The Centre closes at 6:00pm. A late fee of $15 per 15 minute block (or part thereof) is charged for children collected after 6:00pm. Penalties are calculated automatically, based on the time the child is signed out.
Failure to sign in/out penalty
Children must be signed in for sessions and out at the end of the day when they are collected from the Centre, according to legislated requirements. Failure to sign your child in/out will incur a penalty fee of $15, which will be added to your account payable.
Child Care Subsidy
The Hive is an Approved Child Care Centre, which means that our families can claim CCS, if they are eligible.
Eligible families may apply for to Centrelink for fee assistance through the Child Care Benefit Scheme.
