LOST & FOUND ‼️

Our lost property pile is growing by the day… If your child has gone home missing a hat, jumper (or two! or three!) head to the Hive Room for a look, chances are it's waiting there for you!

FRIENDLY REMINDER

Just a friendly reminder that we close at 6pm sharp! Our team works hard all day and loves getting home on time so we appreciate your support in helping us finish the day on time! Please note, late pickups incur a $20 fee per 15-minute window.

❄️☃️ COLD WEATHER ❄️☃️

With the cold and wet weather we have been experiencing, please remember to pack a jumper in your child's bag each day. The afternoons have been particularly chilly during our 5pm fruit time, and a warm layer goes a long way in keeping the kids comfortable and happy.

👨‍🍳 🎨 🎲 WHAT HAVE THE KIDS BEEN UP TO? 🏏 🧸 🧪

Even with the weather being grey and rainy, we’ve still had lots of fun! Here’s what we’ve been up to in our ACTIVITY CLUBS:

ART&CRAFT: paper chain octopus, paper fishies, rainbow clouds, weaving turtles, Hama beads, chatterboxes AND watercolours!
EXPLORE&DISCOVER: bug hunts, ocean foam, ocean slime, animal fact sheets, chess club and an epic talent show!
SPORT: golden ball, soccer, basketball, bin ball, jack in the pack, shootouts and free play on the small basketball court!
BAKING CLUB: delicious blueberry muffins!
CONSTRUCTIVE PLAY: magnatile towers, legomasters, beyblades, kapla towers, hot wheels

🏖️ HOLIDAY PROGRAM 🏖️

Holiday Program bookings are officially open! As always, Coach Matt has put together an amazing program for the July Winter holidays, with plenty of novel excursions, riveting incursions and fun in-centre days. You won't want to miss it, so be sure to get your bookings in quick!

Please note: Early Bird pricing closes Sunday 14th June at midnight. Bookings made after this date will incur an additional $10 fee.

🐌 OUR GARDEN 🌿

We have been harvesting from the garden for special garden baking club sessions. We made pesto pasta using basil and rocket (see recipe below!), and herby garlic bread using parsley. We also tried baked saltbush chips!

When we discussed what the kids would like from the garden there was a resounding call, MORE STRAWBERRIES! So, we have planted 40 strawberry plants in pots that will be hung from the fence in a new vertical garden. This sunny spot was previously under utilised, but all that sun will give us delicious sweet strawberries in summer. This vertical garden is an example of how you can grow fresh, healthy food in small spaces!
