IMPORTANT REMINDER: Allowable Absences Reset on 1 July 2025

Families receiving CCS are entitled to 42 allowable absences covered by the usual child care subsidy (CCS).

These absences will reset on 1 July 2025. As we get closer to this date, please note that if you’ve used all your allowable absences, any additional days away will be charged at the full fee.

PARENT REMINDERS - ❄️ COOLER WEATHER ❄️

As we head deeper into the chillier part of the year, please ensure your children have an extra layer packed in their bags—especially for 5pm fruit time, when the sun starts to dip and the temperature drops.

👨‍🍳 🎨 🎲 WHAT HAVE THE KIDS BEEN UP TO? 🏏 🧸 🧪

We've dived straight back in to term time fun in our ACTIVITY CLUBS!

ART&CRAFT: pompom hot air balloons, cupcake crabs, cellophane lanterns, car painting, popsicle stick fish, goofy robots, DIY mushroom houses and tissue-paper cherry blossoms!

SPORTS: oz tag tips, jack in the pack, newcombe ball, soccer shootouts (of course!), golden child, pacman and knockout bball!

EXPLORE & DISCOVER: DIY animal fact sheets, treasure map making, ooblek, beyblades... we also made our very own colour map, and then filled it with colourful items from the garden and school grounds!

BAKING CLUB: simply but delicious eggless choc chip muffins and splendidly sweet white choc and raspberry flapjacks!

🐟 OUR FISH 🐠

As many of you know, we’re lucky to have some wonderful fish at the Hive—our calm, friendly companions who are always ready to lend a fin when a child needs a little help settling in. But do you know their names?

Meet our original aquatic superstars: Bobby the Catfish and Lil Apricot the Goldfish—our two O.G. fish who’ve been with us from the start. Joining them are some newer faces: Fsh, the one-eyed canary yellow goldfish (named by the imaginative Lachy K from Year 3), and the mischievous Bandito Brothers, our energetic pair of Zebra Danios.
